Some we have loved and now sadly are

no longer with us

After a few years of trying to buy a show bitch and failing miserably, I had the great fortune of being able to buy a brother and sister combination from a good friend of mine Dave Flintoft. I bought Sanouse Super Son and his sister Sanouse Super Special on breeding terms. This was the breakthrough I had been waiting for. On Heidi's first litter to Ch Carliston Zeus she had a fine litter of pups which Dave took a bitch for himself as per the breeding terms. The other bitch eventually went down South to the Billnets kennel, she was called Mikadene Calipso Girl.

Yes your right the Mikadene Kennels had been born a few years before and at last we were on the road to developing our strain. A couple of years down the road and Dave decided he wanted to sell his puppy I had given him. I bought her back off Dave and straight away I knew I had done the right thing. Her name was Mikadene Miss Chippy of Sanouse. Her sister went on to the Billnets Kennel where she soon became the mainstay of that kennel and has produced allot of the successors that kennel has had in recent times.Miss Chippy is the mother of our young men ,Mikadene Highlander, and Mikadene Ilewin. Across the page is one of our early successes Droncroft Bullet. We just couldn't leave out our old Bull. He is now gone but will always be in our hearts , and with his son Mikadene Ilewin.

This is Patrick's dad, Ch Marvid Jetsetter . Alot of kennels today owe this young man a great big thank you. He has proved in his own lifetime that he has been the strongest influence on this breed/type of Alsatian since the early days of the 60's and 70's. Every one of his litters spelt quality from day one. It is very sad that alot of people that have used Max don't even mention him in their web pages. I for one owe him a great big thank you for giving me his son Mikadene Highlander. Sadly he broke his owners heart when he left us, but at least John will always have him in his heart as I do. Tanya is the mother of our muched love young man Mikadene Highlander. She is out of the famous Carliston Zeus and our own Sanouse Super Special. She has stacks of quality and she certainly passed it on to her son Highlander. She is still entering shows and showing the youngsters a thing or two. When you have a bitch of this quality whose movement at 9 years of age is still as good as it was when she was 2, it is not surprising she went best bitch and Best of Breed at Three Counties Champ Show 1997 under judge Mr Alan Halsall. As with all our stock good sound construction is paramount. Just ask yourself how many Shepherds can still walk at 9 years old never mind winning a champ show. Sadly at the age of 10 years she left us. She is now at sleep We will always love and miss you .
